Changing Venues

First, I’d like to thank/apologize to all my for putting up with my whining.  Things are looking up, slightly.  The unfortunate thing is that I will be unable to continue dancing at my current ballet studio.  Aside from those summer classes, my fall college schedule will not allow me to participate in the Wednesday class.  Luckily, I haven’t gotten too attached to it since I only danced there for eight months and only went once a week.  However, I will miss Adrian and his warm, kind personality.

The studio I’ll be trying out is called Hope Stone Inc.  I don’t know too much about it, but here are the tidbits I do know:

  • It’s a non-profit corporation focused on giving kids and adults an outlet for expression in the fine arts.
  • It has a professional dance company.
  • It is allegedly has a very comfortable, warm atmosphere with something for everyone, no matter what the age.

On the third point, I looked up reviews for Hope Stone on the Internet once I fully realized that I had to change venues.  There were only three reviews, but they all gave Hope Stone five stars.  The general consensus was my third tidbit.  The location isn’t walking distance away, like my current studio, but it’s actually not that bad.  It’s in the downtown district, and we don’t live too far away from there.  Classes start on May 29th, but I’ll be leaving for summer vacation on that day, so I’ll have to try it when I get back on June 14th.  There are Saturday morning classes for beginners and intermediates.  While I’m intimidated by the prospect of having these two levels intermixed, there’s no way I’m going to wimp out.  I’ll definitely blog about my first class when the time comes, and, if all goes well, I’ll start a new journal series for Hope Stone.  Here goes nothing.

The floor is yours now.
