Wanting Fresh Perspectives

The title says it all.  If you’re a dancer, I’d love to hear what you have to say.  Do you have a tips post?  A personal story?  A funny anecdote?  Go ahead and contact me, my email address in on my Gravatar profile.  Anything concerning ballet or ballroom is an extra plus.  What are you waiting for?

  1. I empathize completely with the blessings and curses of the late blooming dancer – finally, after years of being a little afraid and extremely curious, I started taking a ballet class last year. I did some ballet as a kid and have done various other kinds of dance since and still, but there’s something about ballet that just wouldn’t let me go. My improvement is slow but steady, and I have a great teacher. It brings me so much joy, even though I still get a little anxious about coming to it in my 30’s. It always makes me a little more relaxed to be reminded that I’m not the only one, and that ‘better late than never’ has never been more true 🙂

    • Indeed. It’s truly nice to know that I’m not alone here as I’m surrounded by people who seemed to have danced before they could walk. Kudos on conquering your fear. As for the age worry, honestly thirty is still physically young, and starting when you’re physically young, no matter what age, is pretty crucial if you ask me because it lays down habits before the body slows down. Keep dancing, friend.

The floor is yours now.
